As student coaching specialists, we have developed a 3 model approach to student coaching:
Pure Coaching, Instructional Coaching and Emotion & Mindset Coaching.
PURE COACHING
What we like to describe as ‘full frame, whole child’ coaching, every student will benefit!
With a broad focus, Pure Coaching empowers students to unlock their potential and be fulfilled in all aspects of their life.
Coaching is a pro-active, talking process which raises self-awareness, the bedrock of well-being. At every point in one’s life, anyone will benefit from having their own time and space to anchor themselves, reflect deeply and articulate their thinking. Every student benefits from being seen and heard and supported in their personal growth.
Our Emergence Approach is underpinned by the principles of pure coaching

iNSTRUCTIONAL Coaching
Instructional Coaching takes on the same principles as Pure Coaching but with a slightly narrower focus on the student’s academic learning and personal development at school, college or university.
The main aims of Student Instructional Coaching are to improve student meta-cognitive thinking, agency, academic outcomes and wellbeing.
Students will be invited to reflect deeply about themselves as learners and their life at school. They will be coached to find their own solutions and set personal goals related to a specific curriculum area or several. Instructional coaching empowers students by allowing them to know where they are, where to go next and how to get there.
It helps children and young people transform from being passive, disconnected learners to ACTIVE learners, believing they have complete control and ownership of their learning, actions and successes.

EMOTION AND MINDSET COACHING
With a specific focus on developing emotional mind management, Emotion and Mindset Coaching is for those children and young people who can often slip through the net. They are generally ‘managing’ on a day-to-day basis, but need support to overcome personal blockers which are getting in the way of them thriving and being their best selves.
Common barriers include:
- A negative self-concept…Low confidence…Low-level anxiety…Low aspirations…Over thinking… Worrying… A fear of failure…Low self-esteem…Limiting beliefs…Stress… Friendship issues… Social anxiety…Lack of self-belief…Hopelessness…Overwhelm…Negative self-talk …Imposter syndrome…Feeling ‘stuck or lost’ …A lack of purpose.
Emotion and Mindset Coaching provides time, and a neutral space for young people to reflect deeply and express their thinking in order to find the next step or right solution. By giving a young person the power to manage their own thoughts and emotions, they can make the best choices for their happiness.
Primary School, Secondary School and Further Education comes with a vast array of complex challenges, as well as a huge amount of change. It is not uncommon for young people to feel overwhelmed or struggling to cope during any of these stages of their lives. However, these negative emotions may come to light in a variety of ways, from shutting off and disengaging, to bad behaviour, low attendance or poor performance. There are so many ways a child or young person may display their emotions.
Whatever challenge they are facing, our Emotion and Mindset Coaching normalises these emotions and helps young people self-regulate. It shows them that they are in control of their lives and can succeed.

What mindset do you need to be successful and happy?
Our interactive, half-day workshops teach children and young people how to develop a powerful mindset in order to be successful and fulfilled in life. We take a look at scientifically-proven mind tools that can be utilised on a daily basis to achieve personal goals and ambitions. Our ‘life lessons’ focus on self-coaching, emotional resilience and positive outlook to gain optimal well-being and leverage character strengths. Courage, confidence and competence has the capacity to shift us from ‘I wish’ to
‘I did’. MindsetED is the explicit teaching of emotional fitness and mind management and all young people will benefit.
Informed by studies and leaders in Coaching, Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology and Business, we have summarised the common findings found across these disciplines into a digestible nutshell and workable strategies.
Our workshops are fun, thought-provoking and age-appropriate and are run in primary schools, secondary schools and universities. They include key transitions like moving to secondary school or facing adulthood.
‘Back to Nature’ Coaching
Inspired by the Japanese practise of Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, the therapeutic act of spending time in a forest, we have developed our Back to Nature Pure Coaching, a ‘walk and talk’ approach. This is a great marriage between connecting to nature and yourself, as well as the act of deep reflection through our one-to-one coaching.
Locations include a range of London’s Royal Parks and Gardens throughout London. We can also utilise school or university grounds where applicable.
